About Our Family

You have heard that dogs are man’s best friend. We believe this is true with dedication, love, proper care and training. The Stutzman family has been in the business of raising well tempered, domesticated canines for four generations. So important and valued are dogs in our family, that while my grandfather held important civil and government jobs in the fifties, sixties and seventies, having guests from all over the country, he always kept a very special place for his dogs in the house, no matter how fancy the company. He took them hunting and fishing, to the ocean and lakes, in motor homes, and out in the gardens and on his road trips. Anywhere he went, his dogs would go. My mom and dad followed suit after a twenty year hiatus for the corporate life and academia of Portland and Seattle. They landed a large homestead near Canada and once again began raising dogs; they couldn’t be gone too long from the lovely rural life of farming and tending animals. It has been a dream of ours to follow suit, loving and raising these gentle beasts. Well trained, excellent tempered dogs provide comfort, companionship, joy, and immense satisfaction for people. Both the sire and the dame are registered service dogs and perform different specific tasks. Here at Wonderful Doodles, we believe that dogs are truly the best non-human companions out there and we breed them with integrity and carefulness that such a goal requires.
